Beatrice's Retirement Concert T-Shirt Design

It was a complete honor to design and create the images for the t-shirts/poster for Dzidzogbe "Beatrice" Lawluvi's CalArts Retirement Concert (i.e. the West African Concert as part of the CalArts World Music Festival).  It was such a gift to have her as a teacher of West African dance and drumming and she will be sorely missed.

"Play Dead" at the Geffen Playhouse

In October, I was lucky enough to assist on the magic show "Play Dead" directed by Teller at the Geffen Theater.  Got to work on some pretty cool magic props.  Below are photos from a few of the many props I worked on.

created the strapping for the electric chair we borrowed from Universal and refurbished
took this photo for the portrait prop
sculpted the hair on the death mask before painting it
distressed the writing on this box, among many other props

The following are all pictures of the star Todd Robbins being epic.

Screen Novelties!

Just started interning at the stop motion company Screen Novelties a few weeks ago and am super pumped about it!

CalArts Soundstream One-Sheets

Hot off the press are the One-Sheets I designed for these amazing CalArts bands, who are performing at the Troubadour in Los Angeles on Monday at 8 PM as part of the CalArts Soundstream.  All should attend and hire these incredibly talented musicians!

CalArts World Music Festival

Got re-hired by CalArts to make the World Music Festival posters. These concerts are happening THIS WEEKEND!!! Tomorrow are the final 2 shows: Javanese (1PM) and West African (7PM). Part of The Wild Beast Spring Concert Series at CalArts.

Caterpillar & Tree

Almost forgot to post this one!  In September, I was a scenic assistant at Rambling Road Production Services (RRPS).  Assisted on foam-coating the giant caterpillar for music event "Beyond Wonderland" as well as foam-coating and painting the giant tree for "Nocturnal Wonderland."

"Young Frankenstein" Puppet

In early April, I assisted the amazing Pat Brymer of Pat Brymer Creations (aka the maker of all the "Lamb Chops" puppets) on building a 10+ foot-tall foam Frankenstein puppet for Calabasas High School's performance of "Young Frankenstein."

In March/April, I got my first professional designer credit at the Odyssey Theatre for creating specialty props for their show "White Marriage" (LINK).  Basically, I made a bunch of mushroom and penis props.  Below you will find a few of the "less"-graphic props.
